دوران اوج کانال

راستی از خودتون تا به حال پرسیدن چرا اسم کانال پارسوآ است؟ سرزمین پارسوآ در متون آشوری (به‌ویژه سالنامه‌های پادشاهان آشور مثل شلمنسر سوم و سارگن دوم) به منطقه‌ای در غرب ایران، دامنه‌های غربی زاگرس و عموماً در محدوده استان‌های امروزی کرمانشاه، کردستان و لرستان (یا بخش‌هایی از شمال خوزستان و ایلام) اطلاق می‌شده. در واقع پارس‌ها قبل از اینکه به سمت جنوب و استان فارس امروزی کوچ کنن و امپراتوری هخامنشی رو بسازن، سال‌ها در این مناطق غربی ساکن بودن و با حکومت قدرتمند آشور هم‌مرز و در کشمکش بودن. حالا چه ربطی به اسم کانال داره؟ به طور مستقیم هیچی. اما نام پارسوآ به من الهام داد و باعث شد تا از ان برای اطلاق به کل امپراطوری ایران در اولین رمان خودم استفاده کنم«رمان رو چهار سال پیش نوشتم» و همون رمان که نام اولیش «پارسوآ» بود البته الان و اسم اصلیش «سرگذشت امپراطوری» هست باعث شد اسم کانال رو بزارم پارسوآ.
