جمشیدشاه گیج و سرگردان بود؛ برخاست. فریادکشید. در دالان های کاخ راه افتاد و باصدای بلند گفت: «من اهورامزدا، اهوراجمشید هستم! من مالک هفت سرزمین جهان و هفت آسمان هستم!»
مردم به حرفهای جمشیدشاه گوش دادند و گفتند: «افسوس که او پس از پیروزی بر هفت دیو، چنین خودخواه و مغرور شد!»
این طور بود که جمشیدشاه فکر میکرد اهورامزداست و مردم فکر میکردند او خودخواه است و سپیدا، فره ایزدی از او دور شد و دیگر کسی آن را ندید. روزگار گذشت و جمشیدشاه نخستین انسان خودخواه و خودشیفته ی روی زمین شد.

King Jamshid was baffled with Ahreman's flattery. He walked in the corridors of the palace and shouted aloud, "I am Almighty God! I am Almighty Jamshid! I am the master of the seven lands and seven heavens!"
When the people heard what Jamshid said they said, "Alas he has become too proud after defeating the seven wicked demons!"
King Jamshid thought he was God and people thought he was proud and selfish. Sepida, the symbol of divine glory and power, left him and nobody saw him anymore. King Jamshid became the first proud and selfish man on earth.
