#Present_simple ( I do ) - حال ساده
Study this example situation :
🔷Alex is a bus driver , but now he is in bed asleep .
الکس راننده بس است اما حالا در تخت خواب خوابیده است.
He is not driving a bus . ( He is asleep . )
او بس را نمی راند. ( او خواب است . )
but He drives a bus . ( He is a bus driver . )
اما او بس را می راند . (او راننده بس است.)
Drive ( s ) / work ( s ) / do ( es ) etc. is the present simple.
I / we / you / they drive / work / do etc.
he / she / it drives / works / does etc.
🔷 We use the present simple to talk about things in general . We use it to say that something happens all the time or repeatedly , or that something is true in general:
ما از حال ساده برای صحبت در مورد چیزها به طور کلی استفاده می کنیم. ما از آن استفاده می کنیم تا بگوییم چیزی همیشه یا مکررا اتفاق می افتد، یا اینکه چیزی به طور کلی درست است:
Nurses look after patients in hospitals .
پرستاران از بیماران در بیمارستان ها مراقبت می کنند.
I usually go away at weekends .
من معمولا آخر هفته ها گردش می روم.
The earth goes round the sun .
سیاره زمین دور آفتاب چرخش می کند.
The cafe opens at 7.30 in the morning .
کافه ساعت 7.30 صبح باز می شود.
🔷Remember :
I work ... but He works ....
They teach ... but My sister teaches ....
🔷We use do / does to make questions and negative sentences :
ما از Do/Dose برای سوالی و منفی ساختن جملات استفاده می کنیم :
I come from Canada . Where do you come from ?
من از کانادا آمده ام. شما اهل كجاييد ؟
I don't go away very often .
من اغلبا گردش نمی روم.
What does this word mean ? ( not What means this word ? )
این کلمه چه معنی میدهد؟
Rice doesn't grow in cold climates.
برنج در آب و هوای سرد رشد نمی کند.
🔷In the following examples , do is also the main verb ( do you do / doesn't do etc. ) :
در مثال های زیر do فعل اصلی نیز است ( انجام میدهید / انجام نمیدهید و غیره )
What do you do ? " " I work in a shop "
چه کار میکنی ؟ " " من در یک مغازه کار میکنم "
He's always so lazy . He doesn't do anything to help .
او همیشه خیلی تنبل است. او هیچ کمکی نمی کند.
🔷 We use the present simple to say how often we do things :
ما از حال ساده برای بیان اینکه چند وقت یکبار کارها را انجام می دهیم استفاده می کنیم:
I get up at 8 o'clock every morning .
من هر روز صبح ساعت 8 بیدار میشوم .
How often do you go to the dentist ?
شما اغلبا چند وقت یکبار به دندانپزشکی مراجعه می کنید؟
Julie doesn't drink tea very often .
جولی زیاد چای نمی نوشد.
Robert usually goes away two or three times a year .
رابرت معمولا دو یا سه بار در سال سفر می رود.
I promise / I apologise etc.
🔷Sometimes we do things by saying something . For example , when you promise to do something .
گاهی اوقات با گفتن چیزی کارها را انجام می دهیم. مثلا وقتی قول می دهید کاری را انجام دهید .
you can say ' I promise ...
when you suggest something , you can say ' I suggest .....
I promise I won't be late . ( not I'm promising ) .
What do you suggest I do ? I suggest that you ...
In the same way we say : I apologise ... / I advise ... / I insist ... / I agree ... / I refuse ... etc.

#Present_continuous ( I am doing )
حال استمراری :
Study this example situation :
Sarah is in her car . She is on her way to work . She is driving to work .
سارا در موترش میباشد. او در راه است. او در حال رانندگی به سمت محل کار اش است.
This means : she is driving now , at the time of speaking . The action is not finished .
این یعنی اینکه: او در زمان این گفتگو در موتر خود است و عمل هنوز پایان نیافته است.
Am / is / are + -ing
I am doing something = I'm in the middle of doing it ; I've started doing it and I haven't finished.
من کاری را انجام می دهم = در میان انجام آن کار هستم ; من این کار را شروع کرده ام و هنوز تمام نکرده ام.

1. Please don't make so much noise . I'm trying work . ( not I try )
لطفا اینقدر سر و صدا نکنید من سعی میکنم کار کنم.
2. ' Where's Mark ? ' ' He's having a shower . ( not He has a shower )
مارک کجاست؟ او در حال دوش گرفتن است.
3. Let's go out now . It isn't raining any more . ( not It doesn't rain )
حالا برویم بیرون. دیگر باران نمیبارد.
( at a party ) Hi , Jane . Are you enjoying the party ? ( not Do you enjoy )
(در پارتی) سلام جان. آیا از مهمانی لذت می بری؟
What's all that noise ? What's going on ? ( = What's happening ? )
این همه سر و صدا چیست؟ چه خبر است؟ (= چه اتفاقی می افتد؟)
Sometimes the action is not happening at the time of speaking .
گاهی اوقات عمل در زمان صحبت اتفاق نمی افتد.
For example : Steve is talking to a friend on the phone .
بطور مثال : استیون بایکی از دوستانش تلفنی صحبت میکند.
He says : I'm reading a really good book at the moment . It's about a man who...
او می‌گوید : در حال حاضر در حال خواندن یک کتاب واقعا خوب هستم. درباره مردی است که ...
Steve is not reading the book at the time of speaking . He means that he has started it , but has not finished it yet . He is in the middle of reading it .
استیو در زمان صحبت کردن کتاب را نمی خواند. منظورش این است که شروع کرده ولی هنوز تمامش نکرده است . او در وسط خواندن آن است.
Some more examples : Kate wants to work in Italy , so she's learning Italian . ( but perhaps she isn't learning Italian at the time of speaking )
یک مثال دیگر: کیت می خواهد در ایتالیا کار کند، بنابراین او در حال یادگیری ایتالیایی است. (اما شاید او در زمان صحبت کردن ایتالیایی یاد نمی گیرد)
Some friends of mine are building their own house . They hope to finish it next summer .
برخی از دوستان من در حال ساختن خانه خود هستند. آنها امیدوارند تابستان آینده آن را تمام کنند.
You can use the present continuous with today / this week / this year etc.
می توانید حال استمراری را با امروز / این هفته / امسال و غیره استفاده کنید

A : You're working hard today ( not You work hard today )
شما امروز سخت کار می کنید.
B: Yes , I have a lot to do .
بله، من کارهای زیادی برای انجام دادن دارم.
The company I work for isn't doing so well this year .
شرکتی که من در آن کار می کنم امسال چندان خوب نیست.
We use the present continuous when we talk about changes happening around now , especially with these verbs :
هنگامی که در مورد تغییراتی که در حال حاضر اتفاق می افتد صحبت می کنیم، از حال استمراری استفاده می کنیم، به خصوص با این افعال:
get
change
become
increase
rise
fall
grow
improve
begin
start

Is your English getting better ? ( not Does your English get better )

The population of the world is increasing very fast . ( not increases )

Past simple ( I did ) - گذشته ساده
Study this example :
🔵Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an Austrian musician and composer . He lived from 1756 to 1791. He started composing at the age of five and wrote more than 600 pieces of music . He was only 35 years old when he died .
ولفگانگ آمادئوس موتزارت موسیقیدان و آهنگساز اتریشی بود. او از سال 1756 تا 1791 زندگی کرد. او آهنگسازی را در سن پنج سالگی آغاز کرد و بیش از 600 قطعه موسیقی نوشت. او هنگام مرگ فقط 35 سال داشت.
👉Lived / started / wrote / was / died are all past simple .
🔵Very often the past simple ends in -ed ( regular verbs ) :
اغلب اوقات گذشته ساده به -ed ختم می شود
I work in a travel agency now . Before that I worked in a department store .
من حالا در آژانس مسافرتی کار می کنم. قبل از آن در یک فروشگاه بزرگ کار می کردم.
We invited them to our party , but they decided not to come .
ما آنها را به مهمانی خود دعوت کردیم، اما آنها تصمیم گرفتند که نیایند.
The police stopped me on my way home last night .
پلیس دیشب در راه خانه من را متوقف کرد.
Laura passed her exam because she studied very hard .

🔵 But many verbs are irregular . The past simple does not end in -ed .
اما بسیاری از افعال بی قاعده هستند. گذشته ساده به -ed ختم نمی شود

shut → shut
write → wrote
Mozart wrote more than 600 pieces of music .
موتزارت بیش از 600 قطعه موسیقی نوشت.
We saw Tanya in town a few days ago .
چند روز پیش تانیا را در شهر دیدیم.
I went to the cinema three times last week It was cold , so I shut the window .
هفته پیش سه بار رفتم سینما، هوا سرد بود بنابراین پنجره را بستم .
🔵 In questions and negatives we use did / didn't + infinitive
در سؤالات و حالات منفی از did / did not + مصدر استفاده می کنیم
( enjoy / see / go etc. ) .

Did you have time to do the shopping ? ' ' No , I didn't .
آیا برای خرید وقت داشتید؟ «نه، من این کار را نکردم.
🔵In the following examples , do is the main verb in the sentence ( did ... do / didn't do ) ;
در مثال های زیر , do فعل اصلی جمله است .
What did you do at the weekend ? ( not What did you at the weekend ? )
در آخر هفته چکار کردی؟
I didn't do anything . ( not I didn't anything )
من هیچکاری نکردم.
The past of be ( am / is / are ) is was / were
l / he / she / it was / wasn't / was
l / he / she / it ?
we / you / they were / weren't / were
we / you / they ?
🔵Note that we do not use did in negatives and questions with was / were :
توجه داشته باشید که در جملات منفی و سوالی با was/ were از do استفاده نمی کنیم:
I was angry because they were late .
من عصبانی بودم چون آنها دیر آمدند .
Was the weather good when you were on holiday ?
آیا وقتی در تعطیلات بودی هوا خوب بود؟
They weren't able to come because they were so busy .
چون آنها مشغول بودند نتوانستند بیایند.
Did you go out last night or were you too tired ?
