Sometimes, one becomes so exhausted that one no longer knows exactly what the exhaustion stems from. No major event has occurred, nor is there any specific pain; yet, it feels as though something deep inside has slowly flickered out. The days pass, and I simply watch them go by. I speak, I smile, and I am among people, but a part of me is lost somewhere distant and silent. It is as if life goes on, yet I am no longer truly a part of it. The worst part is that I do not even know what might bring me happiness. I desire nothing, nor do I feel any enthusiasm for anything. All that remains is a profound weariness that weighs heavier on my heart with each passing day. Perhaps I am not finished; perhaps I have simply lost myself somewhere along the way.
I love you and still haven't been able to tell you, but perhaps through these few words about you, you'll realize that I've fallen in love with you.
