Psychological Warfare Operations Against Iran Disguised As Journalism By John J. Ubele Over the last few years, I've had a lot of conversations with people in Iran about how bad the US has become over the last 10 to 15 years. Usually when I tell people here about the realities of life inside of the US, they either don't believe me or they argue with me about it. Then I begin showing them news stories, pictures and videos, many of these items are about America's worsening homeless crisis. After I show and explain these items then most of the people begin to believe what I'm saying when I talk about America's accelerating decline. There are a number of Farsi news channels which masquerade as doing journalism when infact the news channels are engaging in Psychological Warfare Operations against the Iranian masses. These news networks, most specifically, BBC Persia, Voice of America, Iran International and Manato all engage in Psychological Warfare Operations and the networks produce an endless stream of lies about life in the US and life in other Western countries. The networks almost always portray life in Western countries as being very ideal almost something like a paradise, and the networks almost never show and explain how widespread the homelessness, drugs, and crime have become in Western societies. @JohnJamesUbele

About seven months ago I came across a report titled, "Psychological Operations Within The Cyberspace Domain". The report was authored by LTC Prentiss O. Baker and was published in February 2010. Although the report is just over 14 years old, there is some useful information in it. The following snippet of text is from pages 17 and 18 (11 and 12) of the report: "...To take advantage of the opportunities that the cyberspace domain offers, Col. John Boyd‘s Observe, Orient, Decide and Act (OODA) concept provides some insights on how the JFC might be able to make faster decisions and re-distribute power within the cyberspace domain. Boyd‘s OODA concept aim is to diminish the adversary‘s capacity while improving our capacity to adapt as an organic whole, so that our adversary cannot cope while we can cope with events/efforts as they unfold.
