“I Saw Nothing but Beauty”:
Revealing the Truth of Karbala and Defeating the Enemy’s Psychological Warfare
When Ibn Ziyad tried to humiliate Hazrat Zaynab (Peace Be Upon Her) in Kufa by pointing to the deaths of her companions and the captivity of the Prophet’s family, she responded with the unforgettable words:
“I saw nothing but beauty.” (Mā ra’aytu illā jamīlā.)
Through this response, she refused to accept the enemy’s distorted narrative and instead revealed the deeper truth of what had taken place.
Sacrificing one’s life for God, standing firm in one’s beliefs, selflessness, devotion, the beauty of martyrdom, refusing to accept humiliation, love, protecting one’s honor and family, fearlessness, and courage—all of these are profound and noble values.
With just this one sentence, Hazrat Zaynab (Peace Be Upon Her) shattered the enemy’s psychological warfare and media campaign on the spot.
Imagine reaching that same level of faith, conviction, and steadfastness. Would anyone be able to stand in your way?!
