Laylat al-Raghāʾib (Arabic: ليلة الرغائب) is the first Thursday night of Rajab which has especial rituals. Al-Ragha'ib is plural form of al-Raghiba (Arabic: الرغيبة) which means "great donation", either because of its desirability or because of its large extent. Deeds: It is said that Prophet Muhammad (s) used to fast on the first Thursday of the Rajab and recite twelve rak'as of prayers in six sets of 2 rak'ats between al-Maghrib prayer and al-'Isha prayer. In every rak'a, after reciting Sura al-Fatiha (Qur'an, 1), recite 3 times Sura al-Qadr(Qur'an, 97) and 12 times Sura al-Ikhlas(Qur'an, 112). After completing the full prayers: Recite 70 times: «اَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلي مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ الاُْمِّيِّ وَعَلي آلِهِ» (Translation: O Allah, send blessings on Muhammad, the Ummi prophet, and on his descendants). Then do sajdah (prostration) and recite 70 times: «سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلائِکَةِ وَالرُّوحِ» (Translation: Holy and the most Holy is the Lord of the Angels and the spirit). Next sit and say 70 times: «رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَتَجاوَزْ عَمّا تَعْلَمُ اِنَّکَ اَنْتَ الْعَلِيُّ الاَعْظَمُ» (Translation: O Lord! Forgive, have mercy, and be indulgent about that which Thou know well, verily Thou are the Sublime, the Mighty). Afterwards, do sajdah again and recite 70 times: «سُبُّوحٌ قُدّوُسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلائِکَةِ وَالرُّوحِ» Now, it is time to ask God whatever you wish. Reward: The Prophet (s) has said, these prayers are means of forgiveness and on the first night in our grave, God will send the reward off this prayer in the best and the most enlightened form. When it is inquired, it will reply, "my Beloved, glad tidings to you that you have found salvation from every hardship and horror." When it is asked, "who are you? I have not seen any one more beautiful than you, I haven't heard a word sweeter than yours, and a fragrance better than yours?", the reply is, "I am the prayer which you offered on the eve before the first Friday of the month of Rajab. I have come to you, to be your companion in this loneliness and to remove from you your fright and horror. What's wrong? _📞 Well, to be honest, the kids are making me mad. Because as you know they cannot leave the house these days due to corona virus, and they keep nagging at me for being bored stiff. It's almost two weeks that, due to #corona virus outbreak, we are advised to stay at home and implement the general health measures taught by Health ministry. But many of us do not know what to do at home as parents especially with the children who are bored because of being obliged to spend the whole day at home. 🔴 But remember, this is not good or advisable at all to watch much TV. According to many studies conducted by the scientists and psychologists, watching TV or any other screen for long hours can be harmful for children and even adults. These studies have found that for every extra hour of television watched beyond the recommended amount, children's motor skills are compromised. They are also more prone to "psychosocial difficulties" . Too much TV can also compromise emerging skills in vocabulary, math, attention, and physical ability. Obesity, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease are also among the risks of too much TV time. And so many other problems that I don't want to talk about now. 🚫 But how much is too much? 📍Well, the infants and kids under three should never get the chance to watch TV or any other screen. 📍The kids of three to seven are not allowed to watch TV or any other screen for more than one hour per day. 📍And older children must not watch TV any longer than two hours a day. #religious_affairs

Grand Ayatollah Khamenei's advice: In my opinion, this (CoronaVirus) is not a very grave calamity and there have been graver ones. I myself have witnessed instances of these calamities. The people can eliminate many problems by praying, by supplicating, by relying on the immaculate Imams (greetings be upon them) and asking them to intercede on their behalf and by referring to the Holy Prophet of Islam. This is another word of advice that I have for you. If you want a specific dua, I advise you to read the 7th Dua of Sahifa al-Sajjadiyyah which is also in Mafatih al-Jinan. #religious_affairs

The English Translation of the seventh Dua of Sahifa Sajjadiyah: O He through whom the knots of detested things are untied! O He through whom the cutting edge of hardships is blunted! O He from whom is begged the outlet to the freshness of relief! Intractable affairs yield to Your power, means are made ready by Your gentleness, the decree goes into effect through Your power, and all things proceed according to Your desire. By Your desire they follow Your command without Your word and by Your will they obey Your bans without Your prohibition. You are the supplicated in worries and the place of flight in misfortunes; none of them is repelled unless You repel, and none is removed unless You remove. Upon me has come down, My Lord, something whose weight burdens me and upon me has fallen something whose carrying oppresses me. Through Your power You have brought it down upon me and through Your authority You have turned it toward me. None can send away what You have brought, none can deflect what You have turned, none can open what You have closed, none can close what You have opened, none can make easy what You have made difficult, none can help him whom You have abandoned. So send your peace and blessings upon Muhammad and his Household, open for me, my Lord, the door of relief through Your graciousness, break from me the authority of worry by Your strength, confer the beauty of Your gaze upon my complaint, let me taste the sweetness of benefaction in what I ask, give me from Yourself mercy and wholesome relief, and appoint for me from Yourself a quick way out! Distract me not through worry from observing Your obligations and acting in accordance with Your prescriptions. My capacity has been straitened, my Lord, by what has come down on me, and I am filled with worry by carrying what has happened to me, while You have power to remove what has afflicted me and to repel that into which I have fallen. So do that for me though I merit it not from Thee, O Possessor of the Mighty Throne! #religious_affairs
