#سخنرانی_آنلاین پروفسور لگن هاوزن ✅ Moderate Epistemic Relativism: Defense and Motivation 👤 Hajj Muhammad Legenhausen(The Imam Khomeini Education and Research Institute) ⭕️ Abstract: I describe a form of epistemic relativism that has the following distinctive features: (1) What is relative are some judgments about whether a person is justified in believing something for some set of reasons. (2) The parameters relative to which these judgments are made also determine rankings among parameters and whether a given parameter is admissible. So, there are relative rankings and sets of admissible parameters. There is no assumption that all points of view are of equal validity. (3) Descriptive and normative (prescriptive) relativism are distinguished in terms of parameter admissibility. Moderate epistemic relativism is then defended against the peritrope, and charges of subjectivism, self-vindication, and immunity from criticism.
